Cinco de Mayo Fiesta 5K
The Cinco de Mayo Fiesta 5K is an annual running event held at Wicker Memorial Park in Highland, Indiana. Co-hosted by Tempo Run Timing and Events and the North Township Trustee's Office, this 5th annual edition offers various participation options for runners and walkers of different ages.
The event features Three distinct categories:
- Fiesta 5K: A professionally timed run or walk for all participants.
- Lit'l Churro Run 1k: A dedicated fun run designed for children aged 4 to 12.
- 0.0 Mile Run: A non-running category that allows participation in the post-race festivities.
All participants have access to a taco bar catered by Boss Man Tacos and receive one free raffle entry. Those in the 5K and 0.0 Mile categories who are aged 21 and over receive one free beer or beverage, while children in the 1k event receive a churro at the finish line. Registration for the 5K and 1k includes an official 2026 event T-shirt, while 0.0 Mile participants receive a commemorative magnet.
The 5K race features professional timing by Tempo Run Timing. Awards are provided for the top three male and female finishers in various age groups, ranging from 8 and under to 80 and over, as well as overall, masters, and Clydesdale/Athena categories.
