Event
The Cincinnati Cyclones Frozen 5K/10K takes place on January 24, 2026 in Cincinnati, Ohio. The event benefits the Cincinnati Cyclones Foundation and offers two race distances:
- 5K
- 10K
Every participant receives a long sleeve tech shirt, a finisher medal (made from a real puck), a voucher code redeemable for one 2025-26 regular season home game, and hot chocolate after the race. The race is chip timed and the chip is attached to the bib. Running strollers are permitted. Mascots Twister and Puckchop are scheduled to appear.
Course and logistics
The course runs along the Banks of the Ohio River and passes through Cincinnati’s Transit Center underneath Second Street. The start line is on Mehring Way in front of Great American Ballpark, a short walk from Heritage Bank Center. Packet pickup is offered at Tri-State Running Company locations in Edgewood, Mariemont, and Florence on January 22 and 23, with additional race-day pickup at Heritage Bank Center. Race-day operations at Heritage Bank Center include bib pickup, t-shirt pickup, bag check, and box office voucher redemption. Awards are given to male and female overall winners in both distances, followed by age-group awards in standard 5k and 10k age brackets from 1-14 up to 70+. Registrations are non-refundable; transfers may be allowed up to 30 days before the race at the director’s discretion. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
