Event overview
The Cincinnati Cyclones Frozen 5K/10K is a road race in downtown Cincinnati that benefits the Cincinnati Cyclones Foundation and supports youth hockey programs. The event offers two distances:
- 5K
- 10K
The course runs along the Banks of the Ohio River and passes through Cincinnati’s Transit Center underneath Second Street. The start area is on Mehring Way in front of Great American Ballpark, a short walk from Heritage Bank Center. The race is chip timed. Awards are given to overall male and female finishers in each distance and by age group categories from 1-14 up to 70+.
What participants receive and logistics
Every participant receives a long sleeve tech shirt, a finisher medal (made from a real puck), a voucher code redeemable for a Cincinnati Cyclones 2025-26 regular season home game, and hot chocolate after the race. Bibs and vouchers are distributed at packet pickup; a separate t-shirt table, bag check, and box office are organized inside Heritage Bank Center on race day. A bag check is provided at the finish line inside Heritage Bank Center and is free of charge. Running strollers are permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
