55th Cilcain Mountain Race
The event is a mountain running meeting in the Clwydian Range, North Wales, held as part of the Cilcain Show. The main competition is a short senior mountain race of 7.4 km with around 380 m ascent and forms part of the Welsh Athletics Senior (Short) Inter-Regional Mountain Running Championships and the North Wales Regional Championships. Entrants to the Welsh Athletics championships should enter at least seven days before the race so affiliation can be checked.

Entry and fees are published for the event: seniors £5 including booking fee; competitors aged 16 or over may enter the main race at £2.50 under the old U18 category; junior U7-U15 races are free. No entries are accepted on the day; a separate showground entry fee applies for non-entrant access (adults and children fees are published).
Event facilities noted by the organiser include toilets at the church or on the showground, water at the event start and finish, and food and drink available on the showground.
