Ciderthon - Race overview
Ciderthon is a weekend running event set in the Thames Valley at Culden Faw, Henley on Thames, Oxon, scheduled for 17th July 2027. It offers two distances and places cider tasting stations along the route, with additional tasters available at the finish area. The event combines on-site camping, an event village and a programme of outdoor activities across the weekend, including live music, an open-air cinema and a large on-site barbecue.
The event is limited to adults aged 18 and over; this age restriction applies to participants and spectators. On-site facilities and inclusions advertised for entrants include multiple cider tasters, a finisher goodie, a finisher pint, a collapsible cup, a finisher medal and chip timing. A shuttle service operates between the event site and Henley, and there is free parking on-site for participants and spectators. Vehicle movement is restricted overnight, and the event site closes on Sunday when all vehicles must leave.
Ciderthon describes its concept as inspired by a similar international cider-and-running event and focuses on mixing running with cider tasting in a countryside setting.
