Chupacabra Endurance 10-hour Run
The Chupacabra Endurance 10-hour Run is scheduled for August 28, 2027 at Bluhm County Park, South 1100 West, Westville, IN. The event uses a loop that is about 4.1 miles long and is structured as a timed endurance format.
Organizers start the clock every hour and participants have one hour to complete the current loop. Runners who do not finish a loop within the hour are removed from the race. Winners are determined by who completes the final loop the fastest.
Runners receive a limited edition t-shirt. Prize chips are awarded only after a participant completes four loops. Completing four, five, or six loops earns a red chip per loop. Completing seven, eight, or nine loops earns a blue chip per loop. Chips can be exchanged at prize tables; the red chip table includes shirts, a coffee mug, and other items from previous Crazy Legs Race Series events, while the blue chip table includes various items and free entries for Crazy Legs Race Series events.
No pacers are allowed. Neither human nor animal pacers are permitted and violation of this rule leads to disqualification. The start and finish area has room for a personal crew station at the shelter. Gatorade, water, and snacks will be provided at the venue.
Because of storm damage on August 11, 2026 the trail system was unavailable that year. Organizers hope to be back on the dirt trail system in 2027. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
