Chupacabra Endurance 10-hour Run
The Chupacabra Endurance 10-hour Run is an endurance event held on August 29, 2026 at Bluhm County Park in Westville, IN. The course is a trail loop of about 4 to 4.1 miles with a short pavement section. The event references the chupacabra from Latin American folklore and includes a brief note about cryptozoology.
Timing and format use an hourly clock. The clock is started each hour and runners must complete the loop within that hour or they are removed from the race. Winners are determined by who completes the final loop the fastest. No human or animal pacers are allowed and violation of this rule results in disqualification.
Crew and aid are organized at the start and finish shelter where participants may set up a personal crew station. Event-provided refreshments include Gatorade, water, and snacks. Participants receive a limited-edition t-shirt and a wooden Chupacabra medal.
A chip system is used for prize eligibility. Chips are issued only after a participant completes four loops. Red chips are awarded for completing four to six loops and blue chips for seven to nine loops. Chips are exchanged at prize tables that match chip colors; prizes include race shirts, mugs, gift cards, and entries for future Crazy Legs Race Series events.
Registration fees apply and are listed in tiered pricing that includes mandatory charges and fees. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
