Chunky Monkey Run (Albuquerque, NM)
The Chunky Monkey Run is scheduled for July 19, 2026, at Valley High School in Albuquerque. The event includes multiple options: a 10K, 5K, a youth 5K division (17 and under), a non-timed Kids K (1K, 11 and under), and a virtual run option.

The course is described as fast and flat. The 5K and 10K start on or near the Valley High School track and finish at Griegos Elementary School Field, where race-day registration and post-race activities are located. Parking is available at Valley High School; attendees are asked to enter via Candelaria Boulevard and to avoid parking on Valley Pool Road or along parts of the race route.
Timing uses a gun start and an electronic timing chip affixed to the bib; participants must wear the assigned bib and timing device visibly on the front to be ranked and eligible for awards. Overall and age-group awards are given for the 10K and 5K by gun time; the Kids K is non-timed and provides a recognition award for all registered youth.
Event-day provisions include medical staff, water and Powerade on course, finish-line refreshments, a misting tunnel and super soaker zone for Kids K, and packet pickup with in-person and shipping options for virtual participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
