Chuckanut Foot Race
The Chuckanut Foot Race is a point-to-point trail event held on June 28, 2026. The course covers approximately 7 miles, beginning at Marine Park in Fairhaven and finishing at Larrabee State Park, the oldest state park in Washington. After about 1/2 mile on paved streets, the route follows the Inter Urban trail through the Chuckanut mountains and offers views of Chuckanut Bay and the San Juan Islands. This edition is the 58th running of an event that began in June 1968.
Entry fees vary by membership and age category, with lower rates for GBRC members and for children. Entry fees are nonrefundable due to limited capacity. Participants unable to attend are asked to notify the race director so waitlisted individuals can be notified.
There is no race-day parking at Marine Park and parking is limited in Fairhaven and at the finish. A Discover Pass is required to park in Larrabee State Park. A shuttle service returns participants from the finish to the start. Drop bags are collected at the start and transported to the finish; participants should provide their own bags. One aid station is located at approximately the halfway point.
Post-race hospitality includes strawberry shortcake and live music. Awards are available at the results table: top three overall finishers and top three in each listed age group will receive prizes or ribbons. A running shoe recycling program and a training program from Fit School are associated with the event. Discounted lodging options are offered with an advance booking deadline.
