Christmas Lane 5K
The Christmas Lane 5K is a holiday 5K run/walk held on December 12, 2026, in Thomaston, GA at 213 Park Dr. The course is USATF-certified and serves as a Peachtree Road Race qualifier. Start and finish are located in front of the old Silvertown Baptist church; the route passes down Christmas Lane, through the Greatest Generation Park, and the historic Silvertown subdivision, showcasing seasonal home decorations along the way. Pre- and post-race activities are hosted at the park pavilion a short walk from the start/finish area.
The event continues a local tradition dating to the 1970s when residents of Christmas Lane/R Street decorate their homes and yards with lights and holiday displays. Proceeds from the race benefit the Thomaston-Upson Chamber of Commerce.
Registration details and participant provisions are as follows: on-line registration opens July 22, 2026 and closes October 31, 2026; the standard registration fee is $40.00. Race day registration is available from 3:00 to 5:00 pm; race day registrants should check after the race for possible extra shirts. A student discount of 20% is offered for ages 11 to 18 with code Student20. Children 10 and under have a $30 registration option with code Child30; this option cannot be combined with the student discount. Event shirts are long sleeve and the t-shirt deadline is November 20, 2026.
Awards include top three male and female overall, top male and female masters, and top three male and female in each age group. Age groups: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
