Christmas in July Tree.1 Walk and Run for Fun : Sturbridge, MA
This event on 07/11/2026 includes an in-person 5K held at the Sturbridge Town Common (GPS address: 278 Main St, Sturbridge, MA 01566) and a virtual 5K option that participants may complete from their chosen location. The event raises funds for the Silent Spring Institute, the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition, and the UMMH Cancer Center at Harrington Hospital to support breast cancer research and assist local patients facing financial hardship.
Awards are planned for overall female and male winners and age group placements. Costume prizes will be given for best adult, child, and pet Christmas costumes. Race T-shirts and finisher medals are included with registration and are guaranteed to participants until approximately three weeks before the race, subject to the printer's ordering schedule. Virtual participants will receive a mailed T-shirt and finisher medal; a shipping donation is requested to help cover postage.
Parking is available in several lots within a short walk of the Sturbridge Town Common. Day-of registration may be offered with T-shirts and medals only if available. Registration fees noted in event materials include a $30 option and a $35 option; virtual entries have a separate fee structure and a requested shipping donation for mailed items.
