Chingona Fest Campout
Chingona Fest is a weekend fundraiser and community camping event for Chingonas on the Run, held at a group campground in Pearblossom, California. The event combines overnight camping with a trail running challenge on single track terrain in the Angeles National Forest.
On the main day participants take on a six hour challenge to complete as many loops as they can within the time limit. Each loop is 4.16 miles with 728 ft of elevation gain and includes a summit of Mount Hillyer. Loops start and finish at a basecamp aid station that is stocked with food, hydration, and on-course support.
Camp check-in happens on the Saturday of the weekend; late arrivals are not accepted. The weekend program includes dinner on Saturday, grab-and-go breakfast on Sunday, a hearty post-run lunch, and refreshments available throughout the event. A closing ceremony follows the run and there is time allocated for cleanup and departure.
Included with registration are campground and parking fees, a welcome goodie bag, a finisher’s medal, and free event photos by a professional photographer. Organizers can connect participants with resources to borrow camping gear if needed. The event is intended for women and those whose identity aligns with womanhood; trans, non-binary, and gender-expansive people are welcome. The event is closed to cis men.
