Chingona Fest Campout
Chingona Fest is a weekend fundraiser for Chingonas on the Run held at a group campground in Pearblossom, CA, in the Angeles National Forest. The event combines camping with a looped trail challenge that passes over Mount Hillyer and uses single track trails.
On the trail participants attempt as many loops as they can within a six hour timeframe. Each loop is 4.16 miles with 728 ft of elevation gain, and starts and finishes at a basecamp aid station stocked with food and hydration. The course returns to the campground after each circuit.
The event program includes campground access and a parking pass as part of registration, meals including a Saturday dinner and post run lunch, grab and go breakfast and refreshments, a welcome goodie bag, and a finisher's medal. A professional photographer will provide free event photos. Organizers provide options to borrow camping gear through direct contact for those who need it.
The event is intended for women and people whose identity aligns with womanhood. Trans, non binary, and gender expansive participants are welcome. To preserve the stated safe space the event is closed to cis men. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
