Chingona Fest Campout

The Chingona Fest is a weekend event focused on community building through trail running and camping. Located at the Group Campground in Pearblossom, California, the event takes place within the Angeles National Forest. This gathering serves as a fundraiser for the Chingonas on the Run organization.

The primary athletic component is a 6-hour timed challenge held on Sunday. Participants aim to complete as many laps as possible on a specific trail course within the time limit. The course features the following specifications:

  • 4.16 miles per loop
  • 728 feet of elevation gain per loop
  • Single track trail terrain
  • Summit of Mount Hillyer included in each lap

The course begins and ends at a central basecamp which houses a fully stocked aid station providing hydration and food. Participants may choose their own pace, and there is a final cut-off time of 11:45 AM to begin a new loop.

The weekend itinerary includes camping starting on Saturday afternoon, followed by dinner. Sunday features a grab-and-go breakfast before the run starts. Following the conclusion of the 6-hour challenge, a post-run lunch and closing ceremony are held. Registration fees cover the campground stay, parking, meals, professional event photos, and a finisher's medal. This event is designed for women, including trans, non-binary, and gender-expansive individuals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
