Stars, Stripes & Sneakers 5K - Palmdale
The City of Palmdale and the High Desert Runners present a July 4, 2026 running program at Sam Yellen Park in Palmdale, California. The event includes a community 5K walk/run and two youth fun runs for younger participants.
Distances offered:
- 5K - Stars, Stripes & Sneakers 5k Walk/Run
- 1K - Kid's 1 K Kids Red, White & Zoom Fun Run (ages 9-12)
- 500 m - Kid's 1/2 K Kids Red, White & Zoom Fun Run (ages 8 and under)
The 5K will be professionally chip timed. T-shirts and medals will be provided to participants while supplies last. Age group awards for the 5K are listed for the following groups: 0-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over.
Packet pickup is available the day before at Legacy Commons and on race morning at Sam Yellen Park. Pickup on the day before the event includes entry into a raffle. Registration opens March 12, 2026 and closes June 1, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
