Chiltern Ridge Half Marathon
The Chiltern Ridge Half Marathon is a trail race held on 5 July 2026 that follows a stretch of The Ridgeway National Trail between Wendover and Princes Risborough in Buckinghamshire. The route runs between Coombe Hill in Wendover and Whiteleaf Hill near Princes Risborough and includes a loop through the Whiteleaf Hill Nature Reserve. The course is entirely off road and includes multiple ups and downs; the organiser lists the elevation gain as 526m+.
The distance is 21.1 km, the field is limited to 350 runners and the event is operated under a 4 hour time limit. Navigation is fully marked. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association (license #8211) and is held under UKA rules. It also carries UTMB World Series index qualifying status.
Start and registration are based at the Shoulder of Mutton on Pound Street in Wendover, with the finish at Hampden Meadow, South Street, Wendover. Parking is noted at Wendover Train Station. Two aid stations are listed at The Plough at Cadsden, located at 6.7 km and 13.4 km, both with toilet facilities. Precision Fuel & Hydration products are provided at the aid stations.
