Chiltern Ridge Half Marathon
The Chiltern Ridge Half Marathon is a trail race held along The Ridgeway National Trail in Buckinghamshire, running between Wendover and Princes Risborough. The course covers 21.1 km with approximately 526 m of total ascent and is entirely off road. The route includes a loop through Whiteleaf Hill Nature Reserve and follows a stretch of The Ridgeway between Coombe Hill and Whiteleaf Hill.
The event is fully marked and has a four hour time limit. Aid stations are listed at The Plough at Cadsden with stops at about 6.7 km and 13.4 km; toilets are available at these locations. The race is licensed by the Trail Running Association (license number 8211) and is held under UK Athletics rules. It is also indexed as a UTMB World Series qualifier.
Entry is limited to a maximum of 350 runners and the minimum age is 17. Dogs are not permitted on the course. The organiser publishes a runner's guide and a GPX file of the route for download. The advertised start and finish locations are in Wendover, with registration at Shoulder of Mutton on Pound Street and a finish at Hampden Meadow on South Street.
