Chilmark Road Race 5K
The Chilmark Road Race takes place on Middle Road in Chilmark, Massachusetts. This running event covers a distance of 5 km. The race has a total participant capacity limited to 1,600 runners. Registration opens on July 1st, and participants can register themselves and their families until the cut-off date or until the runner limit is reached.

The registration fee includes a race t-shirt and a personalized bib for those who enter before July 20. Different fee structures apply for participants aged 12 and older and those aged 11 and under. Net proceeds from the event benefit the Chilmark Community Center.
Logistical support is provided for those traveling from off the island. A bus transports runners from Vineyard Haven to Chilmark for those arriving on the ferry from Woods Hole. For equipment and gear, a separate store option exists for purchasing additional race merchandise such as hats, sweatshirts, and specialty tanks. All pre-ordered merchandise and race materials must be picked up in person at the community center, as no shipping is provided.
Prizes are awarded to the top male and female finishers across a wide range of age categories. These categories begin at 8 years and under and continue in various increments up to 90 years and over.
