The event coincides with the Pueblo Chile and Frijoles Festival downtown along Union Avenue.
Race options
- 5K
- 10K
Course notes describe primarily flat terrain with the Main Street Bridge providing the main climb. The 5K route uses the Arkansas River Trail, follows the west side of Lake Runyon, runs north along Phelps Creek, crosses Fay's Crossing Bridge, and enters the Riverwalk before returning to the start area. The 10K follows the river trail west for about 1.5 miles before turning, completes a full loop around Lake Runyon, and finishes via the Riverwalk.
There will be water stations along each course and one at the finish line. Course rules state no pets and allow strollers with caution due to narrow paths and a wooden bridge; strollers are advised to start toward the back and to pass carefully.
Registration opens April 6, 2026 and closes September 6, 2026. Early pricing through September 5 offers lower fees and a $5 club discount for Soco and PPRR members. Runners registered by September 5, 2026 are guaranteed a race shirt and festival entry. Awards include overall winners, age group medals for top three in 10 year increments, and finisher medals for the first 350 finishers.
Packet pickup is available the day before at Renewed Wholesale 720 S. Main Street and on race morning at Walter's Brewing Company. Parking will be limited during the festival; the Main Street Parking Garage is located near the start and finish area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
