Lions Roar for Fitness 5K/2.5K Challenge - Pueblo
This event is held at Lake Minnequa, 1500 Lakeview Ave., Pueblo, CO 81004 on October 10, 2026. It features multiple short-distance running events and a children’s sprint.
Distances offered:
- 5K Challenge - 5 kilometer race
- 2.5K Challenge - 2.5 kilometer race
- Kiddie Sprint - 50 yard sprint for children 5 years and under, free
Age divisions for the 5K and 2.5K are listed for male and female competitors and include 6 and under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50+. Medals are awarded. In the 5K, the first, second and third place finishers in each age division receive medals, and prizes are given to the top overall male and female finishers. In the 2.5K, medals are awarded for the 6 and under, 7-8, and 9-10 age groups. Awards are presented on race day and at FIMS during the assembly.
Registration pricing and deadlines are tiered: registration through September 25 is $30 with a guaranteed t-shirt; late registration from September 26 to October 7 is $35 with t-shirts not guaranteed; race-site registration carries a $40 fee.
