Chiemgau Trail Run
The Chiemgau Trail Run is a mountain running event held in the heart of the Achental valley in the municipality of Marquartstein. Since 2017, this competition has taken place against the backdrop of the Chiemgau Alps. The event is scheduled for late October, allowing participants to experience the autumnal landscape of the Bavarian Alps.
The event offers several distinct trail distances and formats to accommodate different preferences:
- Hochplatten Berglauf: A traditional mountain run that serves as a precursor to the main trail events.
- S-Distanz: A short trail running option.
- M-Distanz: A medium-length route with separate starting blocks for ambitious runners and recreational participants.
- L-Distanz: A long-distance trail route.
- XL-Distanz: The ultra trail distance for long-distance specialists.
The event center is located at the Kurpark Marquartstein. In addition to the races, the program includes a sports expo, food trucks, and presentations. Participants can also benefit from services such as a flexible registration option and a trail running camp known as the CTR Alpine Retreat. The venue provides facilities for parking and camping nearby. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
