2026 Chickahominy Chase 5k & 10k : March 21, 2026
The event is held at Chickahominy Riverfront Park in Williamsburg, VA, on March 21, 2026. The races follow the Virginia Capital Trail with views of the Chickahominy River. Distances offered:
- 5k
- 10k
Both courses are flat, paved, and run as out-and-back routes. Points from the event count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series, and toward the Spring Series. A virtual race option is available.
Race services and logistics
Participants receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (Dri-Fit) event shirt, and chip timing. Registration fees listed are: 5k : $30 until Feb 28 ($35 after that); 10k : $45 until Feb 28 ($50 after that). Prices increase by $5 on race morning. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before March 11; extra shirts may be available afterward on a first-come, first-served basis.
Packet pickup is available at the event; runners are advised to arrive approximately one hour before their race to check in. Race day registration is offered, but T-shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for race day registrants. Water stations: 5k has one station at mile 1.55; 10k has stations at miles 1.55, 3.1, and 4.65, with Gatorade at some stations. Portajohns are onsite. Awards include top 3 men and women overall and first and second places in age groups (19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+); overall top 3 are not eligible for age-group prizes. The event benefits Semper Fi & America’s Fund. Live results are posted on Athlinks and final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race. Photos taken by staff will be posted on the organizer’s Facebook page by Tuesday after the event. The organizer runs events in all weather but may delay or cancel if conditions require.
