Women's Trail Festival : Williamsburg, VA (March 28-29, 2026)
The event at Freedom Park (5537 Centerville Road, Williamsburg) spans two days and combines trail running and hiking with educational talks and exercise classes. The festival offers competitive and noncompetitive options on separate days. Entry fees include one race, a T-shirt, one lunch, all talks and classes, and a finisher medal. Overall awards are given only in the competitive races. A portion of proceeds will be donated to the Williamsburg House of Mercy and the Colonial Road Runners Scholarship fund. The deadline for a guaranteed shirt size is Monday, March 1; women's sizing runs small.
Courses and race details
- 10-mile - loop, a little over 10 miles.
- 8k - includes the first ~4 miles of the 10-mile course.
The 10-mile loop has about 700 ft of elevation per loop, rolling terrain with switchbacks, roughly seven miles of single-track mountain bike trail, about two miles paved, and some doubletrack. There are three aid stations at 3.5, 4.8, and 8.5 miles. The 8k is primarily single-track, finishes with about one mile of doubletrack, and has one aid station at 3.5 miles. There are no time limits on any race, and participants in noncompetitive events may run if they choose. Men may register but are not eligible for awards.
