The Chicago Triathlon is a multi-distance event held along Lake Michigan in Chicago on August 22-23, 2026. The event offers individual and relay entries and includes junior, youth, SuperSprint, Sprint, Olympic, and Triple Challenge options.
Swim courses take place in Lake Michigan. Sprint and Olympic swims start at Monroe Harbor near the city, while SuperSprint and Kids swims are held at Foster Beach. The bike routes use lakeside and urban roads, including Lakeshore Drive, Lower Wacker Drive, and the McCormick Place Busway for the Sprint and Olympic courses. SuperSprint and Kids athletes complete lake-adjacent loops with spectator access.
Run routes pass notable downtown landmarks. Sprint and Olympic courses run by Buckingham Fountain, the Shedd Aquarium, the Field Museum, and Soldier Field, finishing on Columbus Drive among city buildings and viewers. SuperSprint and Kids runs follow a dedicated path close to Lake Michigan.
