Supertri Chicago
Supertri Chicago is a two day triathlon weekend on the shores of Lake Michigan, held August 22-23, 2026. The event offers multiple race formats for individuals and relays, and a separate program for youth competitors.
Open water swims take place in Lake Michigan. Sprint and Olympic athletes start in Monroe Harbor; SuperSprint and kids races swim farther north at Foster Beach. Bike courses run along Chicago lakefront and city streets, including Lakeshore Drive, Lower Wacker Drive and the McCormick Place Busway. Saturday SuperSprint and kids bike legs use lake-side loops with spectator access. Run routes pass lakeside and notable city landmarks such as Buckingham Fountain, the Shedd Aquarium, the Field Museum and Soldier Field, with a finish on Columbus Drive amid downtown buildings.
Race options and distances include:
- SuperSprint: 0.23 mi swim, 6.2 mi bike, 1.5 mi run
- Sprint: 0.47 mi swim, 15 mi bike, 3.1 mi run
- Olympic: 1.5 km swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run
- Triple Challenge: 1.63 mi swim, 46.3 mi bike, 10.85 mi run
- Kids Jr (ages 7-10): 100 m swim, 2.2 mi bike, 0.62 mi run
- Kids Sr (ages 11-14): 200 m swim, 4.4 mi bike, 1.24 mi run
