Chicago Triathlon
The Chicago Triathlon offers several race distances held across two days in August. The event includes swim, bike, and run segments through urban Chicago landscapes.
Saturday races include the Kids Jr., Kids Sr., SuperSprint, and Triple Challenge events. These feature swims at Foster Beach in Lake Michigan, bike loops near the lake, and runs on paths close to Lake Michigan.
Sunday races include the Sprint and Olympic distances. The swim for these takes place in Monroe Harbor on Lake Michigan. The bike course goes along Lakeshore Drive, Lower Wacker Drive, and the McCormick Place Busway. The run passes by landmarks like Buckingham Fountain, the Shedd Aquarium, the Field Museum, and Soldier Field, finishing on Columbus Drive.
Participants can enter as individuals or as part of a relay team. The event is listed as one of the world's largest triathlons. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
