Life Time Chicago Spring Half Marathon & 5K
The event on May 17, 2026 features three distances: a half marathon, a 5K and a Junior Dash. Races take place along Chicago's lakefront and provide access to Lake Shore Drive, views of the city skyline, and sections through historic Southside neighborhoods and the Chicago Museum campus.
After the finish line the Spring Market Festival offers food and beverage options including a brunch and a beer garden, plus live music, picturesque photo opportunities, and a flower planting station where participants can take home a planted bloom.
The Junior Dash is designed for children ages two to twelve. The event also forms part of the Chicago Half Marathon Series; completing the Spring Half in May and the Life Time Chicago Half in September can earn three medals for the two races entered.
Life Time members who have six months of Club-Access Membership receive early access to event registration one week before general registration or guaranteed registration in certain lotteries, with specified exceptions. All Life Time events and activities are subject to changes, alterations, or elimination as the organizer evaluates and works to provide a safe event for participants.
