Event overview
The Life Time Chicago Spring Half Marathon & 5K takes place in Chicago on May 17, 2026. The course runs along the lakefront and Lake Michigan, with views of the Chicago skyline and the Chicago Museum campus. The route also includes Lake Shore Drive and portions of historic Southside neighborhoods. A post-race Spring Market Festival follows the finish and includes brunch, photo opportunities, a beer garden, live music, and a flower planting station.

The race is part of the Chicago Half Marathon Series: completing the Life Time Spring Half in May and the Life Time Chicago Half in September yields three medals for two races. Life Time members with six months of Club-Access Membership receive early access to event registration one week before the general public or guaranteed entry in lotteries; an exception applies for the Leadville Trail 100s.
