Event overview
Chesterfield Santa Fun Run & Walk takes place at Queen's Park Cricket Pavilion, Boythorpe Avenue, Chesterfield S40 2ND on 21 December 2025. The event is organised under ARC rules (Permit No: ARC/25/0843) and is described as a fun run; no official finish line timings will be recorded. All finishers receive a commemorative medal and Christmas chocolates or sweets. The event supports Ashgate Hospice.
Course and distances
- 1.5 km - 3.5 laps around the cricket pitch.
- 5 km - one lap of the cricket pitch then just over 4 laps on the park outer path.
Both races finish in front of the Cricket Pavilion.
Entries and practical information
There is a limit of 700 entries and online entries close on 19 December 2025. No entries will be taken on the day. Entry options include provision of a unisex Santa suit or entry without a suit; adult suits are unisex one size fits all. Suits paid for will be available to collect prior to race day from Ashgate Hospice Furniture Store, Unit 9a, Storforth Lane Trading Estate, Hasland, Chesterfield S41 0QD. Race numbers for entrants using their own suit are collected from the Cricket Pavilion on race day. Entry fees vary by age and suit option: adults (16+) £14 with suit, £10 without; ages 11-15 £9 with suit, £5 without; age 0-10 £7 with suit, £3 without.
