About the race
Chesterfield CASA presents a community event on October 4, 2026, at Westchester Commons in Midlothian, VA. The event supports children who have experienced abuse and neglect and aims to help ensure every child has a voice.
The program includes a family festival with games, music, interactive activities, and limited giveaways. Three ways to take part are offered:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Children's 1K Fun Run
- Zero K Hero (participation from the sidelines with a shirt)
Entry fees listed by the organizer are $35.00 for the 5K and $20.00 for both the 1K and the Zero K Hero. The 5K registration opens March 24, 2026 and closes August 15, 2026. The Children's 1K registration opens March 24, 2026 and closes October 3, 2026. Zero K Hero registration opens April 3, 2026 and closes October 3, 2026.
Perks described by the organizer include a commemorative race shirt for 5K participants and a superhero cape for 1K participants. Costumes are encouraged and prizes are planned for the best dressed.
