Haunted 5K and 10K at Midlothian Mines Park
The Haunted 5K and 10K is a road running event held at Midlothian Mines Park in Midlothian, Virginia. Participants gather at the Headstock located next to Loch Lothian to begin the race. All runners are required to register through RunSignup before the event, as there is no on-site registration available.
The race utilizes an out-and-back course that measures 1.56 miles per lap. The course layout is consistent for both distances offered:
- 5K: Participants complete the out-and-back course two times.
- 10K: Participants complete the out-and-back course four times.
There is a strictly enforced course time limit of two hours for all participants. Packet pickup is conducted on the morning of the race, beginning 30 minutes prior to the start and concluding 10 minutes before the event begins.
All finishers receive a medal for their participation. The event also includes a costume competition, allowing runners to participate in festive attire.
