Chester Triathlon
The 27th edition of the Chester Triathlon takes place in the center of the historic city of Chester. This multi-sport event is open to participants of all experience levels, ranging from those competing in their first triathlon to world-class athletes. British Triathlon has designated this event as a 2027 World Standard Distance Triathlon Qualifier for the Deva Olympic distance.
The competition offers three distinct race formats for participants:
- Olympic Distance
- 100K Distance
- Short Distance
The race begins on the banks of the River Dee in the city center. From there, the course transitions into the surrounding countryside, featuring scenery across Cheshire and North Wales. After completing the rural sections of the route, participants return to the city for the final portion of the event.
The finish line is situated in Grosvenor Park, located at 7 Grosvenor Park Rd, Chester CH1 1QQ. Spectators, often referred to as Cestrian supporters, gather at this location to acknowledge the finishers. The event focuses on the historic atmosphere of the city while providing a course that spans both urban and rural environments. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
