Racing begins in the city centre on the banks of the River Dee and uses routes that pass through Cheshire and North Wales countryside. The finish is in Grosvenor Park and the event typically attracts local spectators in the city centre.
The Deva Olympic distance has been designated a World Standard Distance Triathlon Qualifier by British Triathlon. Event information notes there is ample parking in Chester city centre car parks and other nearby car parks within easy walking distance, and that parking charges vary by location. Organisers advise not to park on the bike or run routes as this will affect race safety. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
