2026 Chester Triathlon
The 27th Chester Triathlon is a multi-distance triathlon held in the centre of the City of Chester with venue activity based around Grosvenor Park. The event includes swim, bike and run disciplines and offers several entry formats including individual and relay options.
The Deva Olympic distance has been awarded World Standard Distance Triathlon Qualifier status by British Triathlon. Races use a city centre start on the banks of the River Dee, routes that pass through Cheshire and North Wales countryside, and a finish in Grosvenor Park.
Available distances and formats include:
- Deva Olympic - Swim 1500m, Bike 40K, Run 10K
- Deva Centurion 100K - Swim 2000m, Bike 80K, Run 18K
- Short Distance - Swim 750m, Bike 40K, Run 5K
- Aqua Bike Olympic distance - Swim 1.5km, Bike 40K
- Relay entries for Olympic and Centurion distances for teams of three
Entry fees vary by date; examples include Deva Olympic from £95 up to £120 and Deva Centurion from £170 up to £205. Age minimums apply per entry type. Competitors receive a timing chip and strap at number collection and must wear the strap and chip on the ankle under a wetsuit and return it after the race or incur a £50 charge to release a bike from transition.
Transfers between people are permitted through the official transfer process up to the Friday before the event. Race places are non refundable and deferrals are not offered. Refund Protect insurance is available at entry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
