Kiwanis Club of Chester Annual 5K : event overview
The Kiwanis Club of Chester Annual 5K is scheduled for May 23, 2026 at Carpenter Community Park in Chester, NY. The event marks the 31st running of the Chester Kiwanis 5K and occurs while the Chester Kiwanis celebrate their 51st anniversary of service to the community. The 5K is a 3.1 mile race that also offers a walkers category and serves as a fundraiser for the Kiwanis Club of Chester and its mission of serving children.
Registration includes a Stay-Dri T-Shirt, a hot breakfast and entry in a raffle. T‑Shirts are distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis on race day; participants who registered early have their T‑Shirts set aside for pick-up, and organizers will not hold T‑Shirts after race day. The hot breakfast is prepared by the Chester Presbyterian Church at the concession stand; it is provided free to runners and available to others with a suggested $5 donation. Water, fruit and other snacks are available in the Pavilion.
Raffle winners will be pre-selected and prizes are distributed with race bibs; some prizes require winners to be 18 years or older.
