17th Chesapeake City Canal Race 5k
The 17th Chesapeake City Canal Race 5k is scheduled for June 27, 2026 in Chesapeake City, Maryland. The event uses Schaefer’s Restaurant parking lot on Bank Street as the venue, with additional race parking at the Chesapeake City Volunteer Fire Company lot on Lock Street. The course runs along the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal.
The event offers a single distance, a 5K, with race day registration available. Entry fees listed in event materials show a pre-registration rate of $25 until June 19, a $30 rate thereafter and on race day, and a reduced rate of $15 for ages 11 and under. Pre-registration by June 23 secures a commemorative shirt while supplies last.

Awards include overall male and female prizes and age-group awards for multiple categories.
