Cheryl Diamond NYC 5K Cancer Schlep Run/Walk
The Cheryl Diamond NYC 5K Cancer Schlep Run/Walk is a charitable 5K event held in Central Park near the Naumburg Bandshell at 307 The Mall, New York, NY 10019. The course runs along Terrace Drive with park entry points at West 72nd Street and Central Park West or East 72nd Street and 5th Avenue. Subway access includes the C or B to West 72nd Street or the 6 to 68th Street.
The event brings together hundreds of participants aged roughly 5 to 90 and focuses on raising awareness and funding for breast, ovarian and prostate cancer research. Proceeds support global research on BRCA mutation carriers and the BRCA Multidisciplinary Clinic at Rabin Medical Center Davidoff Cancer Center in Israel. The Schlep also promotes BRCA genetic screening awareness.
Logistics include bib pickup at the Bandshell with a self lookup option for bib numbers. There is no bag check and participants are advised not to bring bags or valuables. Live results and same day finish line photos and video are provided online or by email and text.
