About the Chempro Endo-End Fun Run
The Chempro Endo-End Fun Run is an annual fundraising event held at Regatta Waters Lake in Oxenford's Damian Leeding Memorial Park. It is organized to raise awareness and funds for Endometriosis Australia.
The Route and Distances
All distances share a common start point outside the Southport Yacht Club building on the northern side of the park. The route is a loop on the existing concrete pathway around the lake. Each lap is 3.96 km, with an extended start area on grass making each lap 4.22 km.
The event features multiple distances:
- 4 km
- 8 km
- 12 km
- 21 km
- A 2 km dash for children aged 4-10, starting on the southern side of the park.
A volunteer will run the children's dash course, and parents are welcome to join. Another volunteer will start this race at 8:30 AM.
Event Details
The event takes place in mid-March each year to coincide with Endometriosis Awareness Month. The event's name is a play on words referencing an "end to end" race and the goal of ending endometriosis. The event logo and finisher items feature yellow, the international color for endometriosis awareness.
All finishers in the main events receive a personalized racing bib, a finisher's medal, and a finisher's singlet. Walkers and virtual entrants receive a medal only. Children participating in the 2 km dash receive a finisher's singlet, a trophy, a personalized race bib, and a sports voucher. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
