CheeseTown Challenge
The CheeseTown Challenge is a series of athletic events held in Pinconning, Michigan, coinciding with the local CheeseTown Festival. The races take place at Doc Letchfield Park and utilize a fast and flat course layout on paved roads. Participants can choose from several distinct events:
- 2 Mile Run
- 2 Mile Walk
- 5 Mile Run
- Iron Cheese (A combination entry for both the 2 Mile Run and 5 Mile Run)
- Little Meeces (A children's race for those aged 8 and younger)
The event focuses on community support, with profits donated to local organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club and the Pinconning High School Track & Field program. Participants have the option to include a short-sleeve technical wicking shirt with their registration.
The event venue at Doc Letchfield Park provides access to various festival activities, including vendors, food, and music. Following the conclusion of the races, a fireworks display is held in the park after sunset. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
