About the race
The Cheddar Gorge Challenge is a demanding off-road running event held at Warren Farm, Charterhouse, Somerset, within the stunning Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Offering distances from 1km fun runs to a full marathon, the course features diverse terrain including open fields, flat stone paths, and technical rocky sections. Runners experience breathtaking views along the gorge cliff top and historic sites like Roman mining remains and WWII bunkers.
The half marathon and marathon routes reach Beacon Batch, the highest Mendip point with panoramic vistas. Well-marked routes, multiple feast stations with varied refreshments, and vibrant atmosphere make it a unique challenge for all levels.
