Chattanooga Mountains Stage Race : October 16–18, 2026
The Chattanooga Mountains Stage Race is a three-day trail running event in Chattanooga, TN, totaling 60 miles across mountain terrain. The event is organized by Wild Trails and is scheduled for October 16 to October 18, 2026. Race proceeds benefit Wild Trails, a 501(c)(3) organization focused on the use, protection and expansion of nature trails in the greater Chattanooga area.
Stages and routes include:
- 22 miles on Lula Lake on Lookout Mountain
- 18 miles point-to-point on the Cumberland Trail along North Chattanooga Creek
- 20 miles loop on Signal Mountain
The event enforces strict time cut-offs. Cut-offs listed by distance are: 20 miles - 5.5 hours, 18 miles - 5 hours, 22 miles - 6 hours. Participants should be able to maintain roughly a 15 minute per mile pace for extended periods on moderately difficult trails.
Membership in Wild Trails provides a 10% discount on race entry fees. Trail Steward level membership grants free entry into any three races, with the exception of the Upchuck 50K. Evening gatherings are held each night at the Crash Pad, with beer provided by Oddstory Brewing Company.
