Chattanooga Mountains Stage Race October 16-18, 2026
The Chattanooga Mountains Stage Race is a three day, 60 mile stage trail event held in and around Chattanooga, Tennessee, organized by Wild Trails. The route uses local trail systems and includes extended runs on Lookout Mountain, the Cumberland Trail and Signal Mountain.
Stages include:
- 22 miles on Lula Lake on Lookout Mountain
- 18 miles on the Cumberland Trail along North Chattanooga Creek
- 20 miles on Signal Mountain
Organizers publish an entry price of USD 200.52. Wild Trails members receive a 10% race discount; Trail Steward level membership includes free entry to three races, with specific exclusions noted by the organizer. Race proceeds benefit Wild Trails, a 501(c)(3) organization that supports the use, protection and expansion of nature trails in the greater Chattanooga area.
Participants should be able to sustain roughly a 15 minute per mile pace for extended distances on moderately difficult trails. Organizers will enforce stage cut-off times as follows: the 20 mile stage 5.5 hours, the 18 mile stage 5 hours, and the 22 mile stage 6 hours.
Evening gatherings are scheduled each night at the Crash Pad, with beer provided by Oddstory Brewing Company. The event spans three consecutive days of trail running and on-course time limits and aid procedures are set by the organizers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
