Entry, rules and event details
The event organizer states this race is not intended for beginners. Participants should be able to maintain a 15-minute-per-mile pace for 20 miles on moderately difficult trails. Organizers will enforce strict time cut-offs: Day 1 - 5.5 hours for 20 miles; Day 2 - 5 hours for 18 miles; Day 3 - 6 hours for 22 miles. Race proceeds benefit Wild Trails, a 501(c)(3) organization focused on the use, protection and expansion of nature trails in the greater Chattanooga area. Wild Trails membership provides a 10% race discount; the Trail Steward membership level provides free entry into any three races, excluding the Upchuck 50K. Evening gatherings are planned at the Crash Pad with beer supplied by Oddstory Brewing Company. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
