Chattanooga Mountains Stage Race
The Chattanooga Mountains Stage Race is a three day, 60 mile stage trail event in Chattanooga, TN held October 16–18, 2026. The event is organized by Wild Trails and uses trails around Lookout Mountain, Signal Mountain, and the Cumberland Trail.
Daily stages include:
- 22 miles Lula Lake on Lookout Mountain
- 18 miles Point-to-point on the Cumberland Trail along North Chattanooga Creek
- 20 miles Loop on Signal Mountain
The course is entirely on trail terrain with point-to-point and loop formats across varied mountain terrain. Participants should be able to comfortably hold a 15 minute per mile pace for 20 miles on moderately difficult trails. Organizers will enforce strict cut-off times; the listed cut-offs are 20 miles in 5.5 hours, 18 miles in 5 hours, and 22 miles in 6 hours.
Race fees reflect an entry price set by the organizer. Wild Trails membership provides a 10% discount at any level, and the Trail Steward level includes free entry into any three races except Upchuck 50K. Race proceeds benefit Wild Trails, a 501(c)(3) organization that supports use, protection, and expansion of nature trails in the greater Chattanooga area.
Evening gatherings take place each night at the Crash Pad with beer provided by Oddstory Brewing Company. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
