Chasing Daylight 5K
Chasing Daylight 5K is a sunset 5K run held on June 20, 2026 in Poughkeepsie, New York. The course crosses the Walkway Over the Hudson, continues down to the Mid-Hudson Bridge, crosses the bridge, and returns to the MJN Center at 14 Civic Center Plaza, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
Participants select a local Hudson Valley nonprofit to support. Twenty five percent of each registration fee is directed to the chosen organization. The registration fee is $40. Registration opens April 10, 2026 and closes June 20, 2026.
Partner organizations include Anderson Center for Autism, Dutchess Outreach, Hudson Valley Hospice, Mental Health America of Dutchess County, the Mid-Hudson Civic Center (MJN Convention Center), and Vet2Vet. The event tracks organization performance by averaging the first five finishers from each nonprofit; the top three organizations by that average receive cash awards of $5,000, $3,000, and $1,000 respectively.
Event amenities listed for participants include a medal for completion, an event T-shirt, a swag bag, top finisher awards, and one included drink. The event also features an afterparty at the MJN Center with a DJ, food and drinks, vendors, games, raffles, awards, and a 360 photo booth.
