Chas Foundation 5K and 1-mile Fun Run/Walk
This event is a charity fundraiser that benefits local initiatives to improve delivery of mental health care in the Hampton Roads area. Proceeds are used by the Chas Foundation to improve access to local mental health care, and board members will be on site to explain programs and answer questions.

- 5K certified out-and-back course
- 1 mile fun run/walk
The course starts and finishes at Towne Bank University, 6009 Harbour View Blvd, Suffolk, VA 23435. The route is described as a certified, flat, paved 5K and 1-mile course that meanders through neighborhood streets along a golf course and passes several lakes. The event provides a water stop, course marshals, and easy parking. Coffee and donuts are served after the race.
Awards are offered for the 5K: top three overall male and female finishers, first overall male and female masters, and top three finishers in male and female 10-year age groups (19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-99). No awards are given in the 1-mile fun run/walk.
Race swag includes a short sleeve technical running shirt offered to early registrants, with a limited guaranteed quantity indicated by the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
