Chas Foundation 5K and 1 mile Fun Run Walk
This is a charity fundraiser run by the Chas Foundation to benefit local initiatives that improve access to mental health care in the Hampton Roads area. Proceeds from the event are used to support ongoing programs, and board members will be on site to answer questions and explain those programs.
The event is centered at Towne Bank University, 6009 Harbour View Blvd, Suffolk, VA 23435. The course is a certified, fast out and back 5K and a scenic flat paved 1 mile route that meanders through neighborhood streets along a golf course and passes several lakes. The 5K course includes a water stop and course marshals. Easy parking is available. Coffee and donuts are served after the race, and an after race meet up is scheduled at MoMac Brewery with discounted pint pricing.

- 1 mile Fun Run Walk through the Harbour View area
Race awards are given for the 5K including top overall and age group places; there are no awards for the 1 mile Fun Run Walk. Race swag for early registrants includes a short sleeve tech running shirt for the first 250 participants who guarantee shirt size before July 19, 2025.
