About the race
The Chas Avis Harvest Trail returned on 20 September 2026 at Royston Heath, attracting runners from across Hertfordshire and beyond. The event took place in sunny autumn conditions with views across the rolling countryside around Royston and Therfield.
The event offered the following distances:
- Half Marathon - 13.1 miles
- Quarter Marathon - 6.5 miles
The trail route ran across local footpaths and heathland. Course conditions were reported as good for running, with a notable climb known locally as Cardiac Hill on the route.
Results included competitive finishing times across both distances. The fastest half marathon time recorded was 1:23:03, with second and third places in 1:23:49 and 1:26:38 respectively; the first female half marathon time was 1:46:47. In the quarter marathon the fastest overall time was 43:38 and the first female time was 44:57. Participants from the local club appeared throughout the results across multiple age categories.
