Event overview
The Virginia Beach 10 Miler presented by Sentara is a road race held at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. The event includes both a 10 Miler and a 5K and is organized by J & A Racing Inc. Presented partners named in the event materials include Sentara and Bon Secours In Motion. Registration, registration management, and transfer or deferral options are provided.
Courses and weekend services
The 10 Miler course passes several Oceanfront landmarks, including King Neptune’s Statue, the Atlantic Avenue Ferris Wheel, Rudee Inlet, the Virginia Aquarium, and the State Military Reservation, with a finish on the boardwalk near the historic pier. The 5K covers approximately 3.1 miles along a scenic Oceanfront and beach route.
The event offers a "Live the Life Challenge" in which participants run the 5K virtually before race day and complete the 10 Miler on race day to earn additional event recognition. Race weekend materials include a schedule, hotels and a visitor’s guide, training resources, an FAQ, results, race photos, and awards. A post-race celebration is part of the weekend and features cold beer and live music. Merchandise for the event is available through an event shop.
