The Chartway Virginia Beach 10 Miler returns to the Virginia Beach Oceanfront on May 9, 2026. The event program includes both a 10-mile race and a 5K, plus an expo and packet pickup in the days before the race.
- 10 Miler: Oceanfront course passing King Neptune’s Statue and other landmarks.
- 5K: Scenic 3.1 mile course along the Oceanfront and beach.
The 10 Miler course passes landmarks such as King Neptune’s Statue, the Atlantic Avenue Ferris Wheel, Rudee Inlet, the Virginia Aquarium, and the State Military Reservation, and finishes on the boardwalk steps near the historic pier. A post-race celebration takes place at 13th Street Beach Access with live music and beer available.
Packet pickup and an expo are held at the Virginia Beach Convention Center, 1000 19th St, with additional packet pickup at Virginia Legends Walk on 13th Street between Atlantic Avenue and Pacific Avenue. The event also offers the Live the Life Challenge, which pairs a virtual 5K completed before race day with participation in the 10 Miler.
