Event overview
The Charm City Run 20-Miler is scheduled for Sunday, September 27, 2026 in Freeland, MD. The event offers an in-person 20-mile race and a virtual 20-mile option. The race uses the Torrey C. Brown (NCR) Trail, a hard-packed, dirt/gravel surface. The course has a generally downhill profile, tree coverage for most of the route, and a 5-hour course time limit (15:00 per mile). Virtual participants can pick up swag at the Saturday packet pickup or receive packets by mail; virtual results are not eligible for overall event awards.
Logistics and services
The course includes six staffed aid stations with water, electrolytes, and at some stations GU gels; indoor restrooms are available at Monkton Station. Packet pickup is offered the day before at the Charm City Run Timonium location and on race day at Ashland Marketplace in Cockeysville. There is no parking at the Freeland start; one-way bus transportation from Ashland Marketplace to the start is available for an additional fee if purchased before race day. There is a shuttle from the finish back to Ashland Marketplace. Awards are issued as Charm City Run gift cards to top overall and age-group finishers; masters awards are also offered. Event guidelines prohibit baby joggers, strollers, roller blades, skates, bikes, dogs, and other pets on the course, and require race numbers to be worn visibly on the front.
