- CCR 20-Mile Run (in-person)
- CCR Virtual 20-Mile Run
The course follows the hard-packed dirt/gravel surface of the NCR Trail, part of the Rails To Trail program. The route starts near the Freeland trail parking area, runs briefly north before returning south, includes a coned shoulder segment along Paper Mill Road for about 1/4 mile, and finishes on Arrowwood Road. The profile is described as generally downhill and the trail has tree coverage for most of the route. The event has a five-hour course time limit (15:00 per mile).
There are six staffed aid stations along the course and indoor restrooms at Monkton Station. Fluids and electrolytes are provided at designated sites; fluids are available roughly every three miles and participants are advised to carry additional hydration or energy supplements. Amenities include race-themed shirts, medical coverage on course, and post-race refreshments. There is no parking at the Freeland start; one-way bus transportation from Ashland Marketplace is available for a fee if purchased in advance and cannot be added on race day. A shuttle returns runners to Ashland Marketplace after the finish.
Awards are issued as Charm City Run gift cards for top overall and masters finishers and for specified age-group winners. Event rules prohibit strollers, skates, bikes, pets, and exchanging bib numbers; headphones are discouraged. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
