Charm City Run 20-Miler
The Charm City Run 20-Miler is scheduled for Sunday, September 27, 2026, on the Torrey C. Brown (NCR) Trail in Freeland, Maryland. The event offers two participation options: an in-person CCR 20 Mile Run and a CCR Virtual 20 Mile Run.
The course uses a hardpacked gravel/dirt surface and features a generally gentle downhill profile with tree coverage for most of the route. Runners share the trail with other users such as walkers, bikers, and horse riders. There are six staffed aid stations along the course that provide water, electrolytes and at selected stations GU gels; fluids are available roughly every three miles and participants are advised to carry personal hydration or supplements as needed. Indoor restrooms are available at Monkton Station.
There is no parking at the Freeland start area. One-way bus transportation from Ashland Marketplace to the start can be purchased during registration for the listed fee and cannot be added on race day. A shuttle will bring runners from the finish back to Ashland Marketplace. The event has a course time limit of five hours.
Packet pickup is available at Charm City Run Timonium and at Ashland Marketplace on race day. Race-themed shirts are provided to all participants. Medical coverage is provided on course. Virtual participants may pick up swag at packet pickup or have it mailed; virtual performances are not eligible for overall awards.
Event rules prohibit baby joggers, strollers, roller blades, skates, bikes, dogs, and other pets on the course. Headphone use is discouraged and race numbers must be worn visibly on the front. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
