The fifth annual Charlotte's Dog Jog takes place at McAlpine Creek Park in Charlotte, North Carolina. This event welcomes participants with or without dogs to run on a well-known cross-country course. The race is presented by LendScout and partners with Gilmore Dog Rescue to highlight adoptable dogs and find them permanent homes.
Course and Race Details
The event features a 5K race held on the Larry McAfee Course. This venue is a recognized cross-country destination in the Southeastern United States. Participants receive a bib, a timing chip, and a race packet. Runners who choose to participate with their dogs can request a dedicated bib and packet for their pets during the registration process. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three finishers in the 5K race, with specific amounts allocated for first, second, and third place.
