Charlotte Racefest
The Charlotte Racefest is a spring running event in Charlotte, North Carolina. In 2026, it will mark its 25th anniversary. The event is now organized by Crown Collective, the team behind other local events. For the 2026 edition, there is an updated brand and course.
The start and finish area is at Symphony Park, located in the parking lot by Sharon Road. The first and last two miles of the course are on Sharon Road and Carnegie Boulevard.
The event raises money for its beneficiary, Go Jen Go, an organization that helps navigate breast cancer. The organizers state a focus on sustainability, inclusivity, and a love for Charlotte.
Multiple race distances are offered, creating a festival of running:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- The Brooks Mile (a one-mile race held the evening before the main event)
- Dogwood Dash (a kids' race)
Participants can also register for challenge combinations, such as the Dogwood Distance Challenge (Friday's mile plus Saturday's half marathon) or the SouthPark Sprint Challenge (Friday's mile plus Saturday's 10K).
On the Friday before the main event, there is early packet pickup, the Dogwood Dash kids' race, and The Brooks Mile. On Saturday, packet pickup opens early, followed by the start of the half marathon and 10K. Live music by Time Sawyer is scheduled to begin after the races.
