Dirty Spokes Charleston Park 6.2/4.3 Mile Trail Run

This trail running event takes place at Charleston Park in Cumming, Georgia on March 7, 2026. It is part of the Forsyth County Parks and Recreation trail run series and the Dirty Spokes series, with Automation Direct listed as presenting sponsor.

Distances offered:

  • 6.2 miles
  • 4.3 miles

The courses start from the parking lot next to the trailhead and run counter clockwise through single and double track. Terrain includes rolling hills, elevation change, roots and rocks, and some technical sections. The routes diverge and rejoin at specific mile points: at about 1.70 miles the long course stays straight while the short course veers left; the courses merge and split again later before rejoining for the finish. GPS units and a calibrated bicycle computer record different total distances for each course due to twists in the woods.

Entry fees vary by distance and increase for late and race day registration. A tri-blend shirt in men's and women's sizes is planned; shirts are not guaranteed with late or race day registration. Race participation is capped at 250 runners for parking and trail capacity reasons.

Awards include medals and prizes for overall top three male and female finishers in each race, masters winners, and top three in each age group. Medals must be claimed in person and will not be mailed. Walkers may participate but must be able to maintain a 16 minute per mile pace or faster to receive an official time.
