Charity Half Marathon
The Charity Half Marathon takes place within the ASICS Los Angeles Marathon on March 7, 2027. The event is a fundraising half marathon in which all participants commit to raising money for Team TMF or another official charity partner; there are no general entries.
The course runs from Dodger Stadium to Avenue of the Stars in Century City and follows much of the Stadium to the Stars route used by the ASICS Los Angeles Marathon. The route omits roughly five miles after the first mile and rejoins just past mile six. The distance is approximately 13.7 miles and is not an official half marathon; a timing mat will be placed at 13.1 miles for an accurate half marathon comparison.
The event uses a rolling reopening of streets to vehicular traffic and allows a course time limit of up to four hours after the last runner crosses the start line; runners with a pace slower than 17:00 minutes per mile should be aware of the reopening. There is no dedicated gear check for the Charity Half Marathon, though participants may use the Marathon gear check if they arrive early.
Participants fundraising with Team TMF may be eligible for benefits listed by the organizer, including free entry, a personalized bib if registered by specified deadlines, an exclusive Team TMF T-shirt, LA Road Runners membership, VIP hospitality tent access at the start line, and an official finisher medal.
