2026 2nd Chance Run - Fort Worth
LifeGift presents the 2nd Chance Run on October 17, 2026 at the Fort Worth Stockyards, East Exchange Avenue, Fort Worth, TX. The event is offered in person and virtually and includes the following course options:
- 5K, in person and virtual
- 1 Mile, in person and virtual
The run honors organ, eye, and tissue donors and raises awareness of donation need across 109 Texas counties. The event acknowledges donors and recipients and aims to offer hope to people still waiting for transplants.
Registrations include a custom event t shirt, a custom 2nd Chance Run medal, a race bib, and entry to the race village. 5K participants receive a timing chip. Virtual entries include a t shirt with shipping. Registered participants also receive a race swag bag.
Teams are encouraged. Teams with five or more in person members receive a two dollar refund per qualifying member, with youth members excluded from the discount. The largest team will be recognized after the race.
Donor remembrance yard signs are provided free and can be decorated at packet pickup on October 16 or at the race village. Free parking is available in Lots number 1 and number 2, and Lot number 3 is designated no parking. Road closures will occur along the course. Volunteer roles include water station support, medal distribution, event setup and breakdown, registration check in, course guides, and general event support.
