2026 2nd Chance Run - Fort Worth
LifeGift presents the 2026 2nd Chance Run in Fort Worth on October 17, 2026 at the Fort Worth Stockyards on East Exchange Avenue. The event is available in person or virtually and offers two distance options for participants.
- 5K includes event t-shirt, bib, timing chip, and medal
- 1 mile includes event t-shirt, bib, and medal
The event honors organ, eye, and tissue donors across 109 Texas counties and raises awareness of donation and transplantation. Registrations include a custom event t-shirt designed for the Fort Worth race, a custom 2nd Chance Run medal, a swag bag, and entry to the race village; 5K participants receive a timing chip. Donor remembrance yard signs will be available at packet pickup and on the morning of the event for participants to decorate at no charge. Teams are encouraged; teams of five or more in-person members receive a per-member refund for eligible members. Free parking is provided in Lots #1 and #2. LifeGift notes that event funds support race logistics and additional donor family and recipient meetings and memorials.
