2026 2nd Chance Run - Fort Worth
The 2nd Chance Run takes place on October 17, 2026 at the Fort Worth Stockyards on East Exchange Avenue. The event is offered both in person and virtually and includes running and walking options to mark organ, eye, and tissue donation and transplantation in Texas.

In-person registrations include a custom event t-shirt, a custom 2nd Chance Run medal, a race bib and timing chip, a race swag bag, and access to the race village. Virtual entries include a t-shirt with shipping. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at the Fort Worth LifeGift office.
The event honors organ, eye, and tissue donors across 109 Texas counties in North, Southeast, and West Texas and aims to raise awareness and funds for donor initiatives. LifeGift lists fundraising and sponsorship opportunities that support race logistics, donor family and recipient meetings, and donor memorials. Teams are encouraged; teams with five or more in-person members receive a small per person refund for eligible members. Donor remembrance yard signs are available at packet pickup and at the race village for participants to decorate and place along the course.
Volunteer roles include water stations, medal distribution, registration support, course guides, and general event support. Limited free parking is provided in designated lots near the Stockyards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
