2026 2nd Chance Run - Fort Worth
The 2026 2nd Chance Run in Fort Worth is organized by LifeGift at the Fort Worth Stockyards on October 17, 2026. The event is offered in person and virtually and includes race distances for walkers and runners.

All registrations include a custom event t-shirt and a custom 2nd Chance Run medal. In-person registrations also receive a race bib and entry to the race village; 5K participants receive a timing chip. Registrants receive a race swag bag. Packet pick-up is scheduled the day before the event at the Fort Worth LifeGift office, 1000 12th Ave, Fort Worth.
The run honors organ, eye, and tissue donors across 109 Texas counties and raises awareness of donation and transplantation. The page lists a fundraising goal of $20,000 for LifeGift with funds intended to support race logistics and donor family and recipient events. Teams are encouraged; teams with five or more in-person members receive a $2.00 refund per member (youth members excluded).
Donor remembrance yard signs are available at no charge and may be decorated and placed along the course. Free parking is provided in Lots #1 and #2 near the Stockyards; Stockyards Boulevard and E. Exchange Avenue will close during the event and will not reopen until the last runner has cleared Stockyards Boulevard. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
