New Jersey Triathlon : July 19, 2026
The New Jersey Triathlon is held at Mercer County Park. The race includes a swim in Mercer Lake, a bike course described as fast and flat, and a shaded run through the park. The event features a Finish Line Festival with snacks, drinks, and live music open to athletes and spectators. Participants receive a medal, a T-shirt, timing, and access to an expo.
Course and distances
- Sprint: 500m swim, 21.7km bike, 5km run
- Olympic: 1,500m swim, 40.5km bike, 10km run
All course maps are based on Olympic distances; sprint maps are available separately.
Event format and team racing
The race offers individual and relay entries. The event has sold out to 3,500 triathletes annually since 2006 and is listed among the 10 largest triathlons in the nation. It was voted one of the top 5 triathlons in the USA. Team racing is supported with tiered perks: 10+ members receive a team discount, 20+ members receive a free 10x10 tent or private port-a-potty, 50+ members receive a tent and private port-a-potty, and 100+ members receive a tent plus two private port-a-potties. Reservations for large-team perks are noted with a March 10 deadline. Athletes can join a team during registration or by updating their entry on the event registration platform.
