The competitions take place at iconic locations including the Olympic Basin and the Gilles-Villeneuve Circuit. The event attracts over 3,400 athletes of all skill levels annually for swimming, cycling, and running disciplines.
Participants can choose from several race formats:
- Initiation: 375m swim, 10km bike, and 2.5km run.
- Sprint: 750m swim, 20km bike, and 5km run.
- Olympic: 1.5km swim, 40km bike, and 10km run.
- Demi-Esprit: 1.9km swim, 90km bike, and 21.1km run.
The schedule includes specific categories such as corporate challenges and divisions for the Canadian Armed Forces. The Olympic distance is notably utilized by the International Military Sports Council (CISM) for its competitions.
As part of the Challenge Family global circuit, the event offers a gateway to international competitions.
