SAIL Challenge Esprit Montréal : overview
SAIL Challenge Esprit Montréal is a multisport triathlon event held in Montreal from 11 to 13 September 2026. The races take place around the Olympic Basin and the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on the Parc Jean-Drapeau / Île Notre-Dame site. The event traditionally gathers more than 3,400 athletes and marks 42 years of triathlon history in Quebec.
Four race formats are offered, each with specified swim, bike and run distances. The Demi-Esprit format is a longer distance and includes a lottery that will award ten entry places for Challenge Roth 2027; winners are drawn during the event.
The event is open to members of the Canadian Armed Forces, who focus primarily on the Olympic distance in connection with the International Military Sports Council CISM.

- Sprint: 750 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run
- Olympic: 1.5 km swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run
