SAIL Challenge Esprit Montreal
SAIL Challenge Esprit Montreal is a multisport event combining swimming, cycling and running at Parc Jean Drapeau, Île Notre-Dame, using the Olympic basin and the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve. The 2026 edition takes place from September 11 to 13. The event brings together more than 3,400 athletes each year and marks 42 years of triathlon history in Quebec.
Organizers report that the Challenge Family brand will be integrated into a new global series, the Triathlon World Tour / T100, launching in 2027 following a majority acquisition by the Professional Triathletes Organisation. At the 2026 event, ten entries to Challenge Roth 2027 will be awarded by lottery among athletes registered for the Demi-Esprit course; winners will be drawn during the event.
The Canadian Armed Forces are invited to participate, with particular focus on the Olympic distance selected for the International Military Sports Council CISM. The event also references ambassadors, volunteers and partners, and highlights its location in Montreal for participants and visitors.
