The Chain of Rocks 6K is a road race held on March 22, 2026, at Old Chain of Rocks Bridge Parking, Chain of Rocks Road, Granite City, Illinois (4205-4207 Chain of Rocks Rd, Granite City, IL 62040). Course, logistics and awards
The course starts and finishes at the Illinois entry to the Chain of Rocks Bridge, runs a short out-and-back to the Mississippi River, then crosses the historic bridge into Missouri for about one mile before returning to the finish in the Illinois parking lot. The event uses a professional timing company and results will be posted on the timer’s results page after the race. Packet pickup is scheduled at three locations on March 18, March 20, and March 21 at local running stores and the Forest Park Visitor Center; there is no race-morning packet pickup. Awards include Top 3 Overall Men, Top 3 Overall Women, Top 3 Overall Non-Binary, and an Overall Team Winner. Team scoring counts the top three men and top three women from each team; the lowest combined score wins. Course details may be subject to change.
