Event Overview
The Cereal City Classic is a running event held in Battle Creek, Michigan. It features both in-person and virtual race options.
Event Format
The event includes four categories:
- 10K Run
- 5K Run/Walk
- 5K Run/Walk - Virtual Race
- 10K Run/Walk - Virtual Race
The in-person races take place on Saturday, June 13, 2026. The virtual races are open for completion between June 13 and June 28, 2026.
Registration and Fees
Early registration for the 5K and 10K events costs $35 and is available until May 31, 2026. A discount of $10 is offered for participants aged 12 and under during early registration. Late registration from June 1 until race day costs $45. Same-day registration is only available online.
Participant Information
Packet pickup for the in-person event is at the YMCA Multi Sports Complex on Friday, June 12 (noon to 6:00 PM) and Saturday, June 13 (6:30 AM to 7:30 AM). A race t-shirt is guaranteed for participants who register before May 29, 2026. For registrations after that date, shirts are available on a first-come, first-served basis. For virtual participants in the United States, shirts and bibs are mailed to those outside a 30-mile radius of Battle Creek; local virtual participants must pick up their items on the scheduled pickup days.
Awards
Awards are given for the in-person 5K and 10K events. Awards recognize the overall male and female winners, as well as the first and second-place male and female finishers in multiple age divisions. The virtual event does not offer awards.
Supporting the Community
Proceeds from the event support community programs such as emergency relief day camps, a free weekly diaper drive, meal distribution, and blood drive services. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
