North Downs Way 50

The North Downs Way 50 is a point to point ultra running event covering a total distance of 50 miles. This race follows the North Downs Way National Trail, starting in Farnham, Surrey, and concluding in Knockholt Pound on the outskirts of Greater London. The route includes a total ascent of 5,600 feet and represents the first half of the North Downs Way 100 course.

The event is held under a full UK Athletics Permit granted by the TRA. It serves as the second race in the 50 Mile Grand Slam series. Participants must be at least 20 years old on the day of the event to enter.

The course begins at the western end of the North Downs in Farnham. Runners travel past Puttenham and Guildford while following the National Trail. The route continues through Ranmore Common before reaching the steepest climb of the race at Box Hill. After descending Box Hill, the trail leads back up Colley Hill and continues through Merstham and Oxted. The final section covers 8 miles from Oxted to the finish line at Knockholt Pound.
