North Downs Way 50

The North Downs Way 50 is a 50 mile point to point run along the North Downs Way National Trail from Farnham in Surrey to Knockholt Pound on the outskirts of Greater London. The course covers approximately 81 km with a total climb of about 5,600 ft and follows the first 50 miles of the NDW100.

The route passes Puttenham and Guildford, continues to Ranmore Common, includes the steep ascent to the top of Box Hill, then drops and climbs Colley Hill before running through Merstham and Oxted to the finish fields behind Knockholt Pound Village Hall. The course remains on the North Downs Way until the final half mile into the village. Course marking includes North Downs Way signposts plus additional Centurion arrows and ribbons, but runners are responsible for safe navigation and road crossings.

Race headquarters is at Farnham Leisure Centre and parking for those collecting runners is provided at Coolings Lifestyle Garden Centre near the finish. The event is held under a UK Athletics permit through the TRA. Cut off for the race is 13 hour with further cut offs at aid stations.

Six fully stocked aid stations provide a range of food and drink including options for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free needs. Pacers and crew are not permitted; spectators must not attend check points. Mandatory equipment must be carried at all times and a GPS tracking unit is supplied and attached at registration. Finishers receive a medal and prizes are awarded by position and veteran category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
