The Central Upper Peninsula CISM Donut Dash is scheduled for August 2, 2026 in Marquette, Michigan, at 401 South Lakeshore Boulevard. The event offers in-person and virtual running and walking options across multiple distances.
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk (not timed)
- Virtual 5K or 1 Mile
The in-person 5K starts on the bike path at the corner of East Baraga and South Lakeshore Drive, follows the bike path toward Harvey, and turns around just after the Carp River. The 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk is not timed; participation counts toward department participation awards. Packet pickup is available the day before at Queen City Running Company and on race day at Provisions on South Lakeshore.
Awards are planned for top finishers in each age group, overall male and female, top first responder, fastest first responder team (team must include at least five teammates), and the agency with the most participants. Entry fees listed include a citizen 5K fee of $30 before August 2, a first responder 5K fee of $25, a race day citizen fee of $35, and a $10 fee for the 1 Mile; T-shirts are available for an additional $15.
Proceeds benefit the Central U.P. Critical Incident Stress Management Peer Support Team, which supports first responders in Marquette and Alger counties and across the Upper Peninsula. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
