Centerstone Life;Story is a community run and walk event for suicide prevention with in-person and virtual options across Illinois. Event offerings in 2026 include a chip-timed 5K Run/Walk in Marion, an untimed 5K Run/Walk in Godfrey, a Virtual 5K, and a non-timed Kids Dash for children ages 3 to 12.
Registration for the in-person 5K includes the official 2026 Life;Story race shirt, finisher medal, and race bib; the Marion location also provides chip timing. Youth ages 5 to 17 are eligible for an automatic discounted 5K registration price. The Kids Dash is age bracketed, not timed, and includes a race shirt and Kids Dash finisher medal. Virtual 5K registration includes the official shirt, finisher medal, and souvenir bib; virtual participants are encouraged but not required to record and upload their time and are not eligible for Overall or Age Group awards.
Race packet shipping is available for registrations before specified deadlines; later registrations may require on-site packet pick-up or delayed shipment. Proceeds support Centerstone mental health and addiction services for people with limited or no resources. The event name uses a semicolon to symbolize a pause not an ending.
