Centennial Athletics December Dash
The Centennial Athletics December Dash is a on-campus 5K run/walk held at St Lucie West Centennial High School in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. The event is presented as the third annual 5K and includes an on-site race, an Old Skool No Shirt/No Medal option, and a virtual 5K entry.
The course begins and ends in the back school courtyard located in front of the gymnasium. Parking for participants will use the student parking lot at St Lucie West Centennial High School; that lot is reachable via Cameo Boulevard from Crosstown Parkway or by turning from Cashmere Boulevard onto Education Way in front of McChesney Park. The lot sits adjacent to St. Lucie West K-8 School.
Proceeds from the race support the school Athletics department and are intended to fund facility upgrades for student athletes. Packet pickup is handled at the high school and includes a pre-race pickup as well as race day pickup on campus.
Awards are presented for overall male and female, masters male and female, and the top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 10 and under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
