Trail Run at Centaur Stride

The Centaur Stride Trail Fun Run is an inaugural event held at the Centaur Stride Horseback Riding Facility in Sherman, New York. The courses are set on the facility's 63 acre trail system, offering participants a natural environment for fitness and community activity. This event is organized by a nonprofit therapeutic and recreational facility that provides services for people with and without disabilities.

There are two primary distances available for participants on-site:

• 5 km trail run or walk
• 1 km (approximately one mile) trail run or walk

The event focuses on a non-competitive format, and there is no official timer recording individual results this year. However, a running clock is positioned at the finish line so participants can note their own personal completion times as they cross. Those who cannot attend in person have the option to participate in a 5 km virtual race.

All participants receive a completion medal to recognize their effort. The funds raised through registration fees support the operating costs of the therapeutic riding facility in Chautauqua County. T-shirts featuring the official event logo are available specifically for those who pre-order by the designated mid-August deadline.
